Medical Surgical Nurse New

Pride Health is hiring a RN MedSurg to support our client’s medical facility in Des Moines, IA 50309. This is a 13-week assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Job Summary:

• RN MedSurg. 36 hours per week (3x12s, Days: 7 am - 7:30 pm, every third weekend)

• IA State RN license or compact state license

• BLS, ACLS (AHA)

• Bachelor's of science in nursing is required

RN MedSurg:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans in consultation with healthcare professionals.

• Evaluating medical information, as well as providing direct and individualized bedside nursing care to pre-and post-surgery patients.

• Preparing, administering and recording prescribed medications.

• Changing dressings, inserting catheters, and starting IVs.

• Adjusting specialized medical equipment as needed, as well as interpreting and recording measurements.

• Monitoring patients' vitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timely manner.

Experience required:

• Two years of MedSurg experience is required.

• EPIC experience required.

• Weekly Travel Pay Range: $2200/week to $2350/week
