Position Description

Location: Council Bluffs, IA

Pay Rate: $35- 40/hr

Duration: Contract-to-hire

Schedule: Sunday – Thursday (40 hours/week)

Days Off: Friday & Saturday

Shift Hours:

  • Sunday: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am
  • Monday: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am
  • Tuesday: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am
  • Wednesday: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am
  • Thursday: 11:00 pm – 7:00 am

Role Overview:

  • Perform occupational health services, delivering supportive or restorative care under physician standing orders.
  • Provide first aid, emergency care, and stabilization for injured or ill team members; coordinate appropriate transportation when necessary.
  • Deliver nursing care for both occupational and non-occupational conditions, following Medical Evaluation Guidelines.
  • Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications in accordance with physician orders and Standing Medication Orders.
  • Schedule and conduct health assessments and testing per company policy, including: Post-hire evaluations, injury/illness assessments, respirator and HazMat surveillance, and drug and alcohol testing.
  • Collaborate with health, safety, production, and HR teams to support a comprehensive approach to employee health.
  • Communicate work-related injury/illness information to the RN Supervisor, Medical Case Manager, and Third-party Administrator (TPA).
  • Assist in the follow-up, documentation, and maintenance of workers’ compensation cases.
  • Conduct daily plant walk-throughs to monitor compliance with modified/restricted duty assignments.
  • Maintain accurate Occupational Health Services records, ensuring compliance with OSHA, state, and company regulations.
  • Uphold confidentiality of team member health records in line with HIPAA and company policy.
  • Support and participate in team member health promotion and education initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of goals for the plant’s Health and Safety Services.
  • Assess the need for further medical treatment and coordinate care as needed.

Requirements:

  • Active RN license that's in good standing.
  • Active BLS.
  • Experience in Occupational Health, ER, ICU, Primary Care, Family Care, or Urgent Care preferred.
